Every version that I’ve built up until now, I’ve neglected to update it with new posts after publishing because, well, they’re <em>annoying</em> to update; I end up trying to make these pages <em>smartly</em> with shiny new frameworks, gimmicks, and other tricks that would “make it easier for me to write this time around, surely!”</p> <p>I’ve also realized that in my pursuit of “smart solutions,” I just end up tying myself down to more SaaS products. I think for the past half-a-decade now, my website has been exclusively hosted on Vercel? If I’m going to make good on my promise to slowly move towards self-hosting the tools I use on a day-to-day basis, I might as well start with my personal website.</p> <p>So, here we are today with a static website built with Eleventy and hosting on a Hetzner cloud server. Nothing fancy, just markup languages and CSS.
